AIoT Cloud, a subsidiary of Sharp, has launched new features for its “WIZIoT (WizIo) Remote Monitoring” service on December 18 to enhance the efficiency of factory inspections and equipment checks using AI technology. The updated service now allows users to record abnormalities such as odors, unusual noises, or leaks in addition to the existing AI-driven meter reading functionality. These new features enable users to quickly document abnormalities via a smartphone app by selecting from preset options, adding notes, or attaching photos taken on-site, significantly streamlining inspection processes.
The service also incorporates an online approval function, enabling end-to-end paperless workflows from inspection recording to report generation. Inspectors can request approvals through the app, and approvers receive notifications via email to review and approve inspection results online. Upon approval, the system automatically generates daily reports with signatures and stores them in the cloud, eliminating manual data entry and simplifying report creation.
“WIZIoT Remote Monitoring” is a SaaS-based solution that reduces inspection time and minimizes human errors by using AI to read meters and log data in the cloud. It supports both smartphone and fixed-camera setups, offering low-cost implementation while catering to offline inspections in areas with poor connectivity. AIoT Cloud aims to continue expanding the service’s features under its mission of “Starting DX in On-Site Inspections” to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
